For the past seven years I’ve been building my life around diving, visual storytelling, and writing about diving. I began my underwater photography journey with a humble Olympus TG-6 and eventually moved onto a Canon R5 mirrorless system. Along the way I became a scuba instructor, started shooting both macro and wide-angle seriously, and began regularly being published in Scuba Diving magazine.

If you’re looking to learn underwater photography, refine your style, or bring someone in to visually tell the story of your dive operation, experience, or destination, this is how we can work together.
1. On-Location Shoots for Dive Operations, Destinations and Gear Manufacturers
If you need visuals that actually feature your local diving (not generic stock) or products, I offer on-site photography for:
- Dive shops & resorts
- Liveaboards and charters
- Tourism boards and destinations
- Special projects and editorial features
- Products and gear
I can combine underwater stills, topside coverage, and optional motion elements (360 video, drone, action camera) to tell a complete visual story. I am drysuit certified and a veteran cold water diver so cold and warm water assignments are welcome. I am also deco procedures certified and can shoot to a maximum depth of 150 feet.
Local Shoot Days
Half Day: From $500
Up to 4 hours on site (1 to 2 dives)
Full Day: From $900
Up to 8 hours on site (3 to 4 dives)
Includes:
- Underwater and topside still photography focused on your brief
- Culling and basic color-corrected edits of the best images
- Delivery via online gallery
- Clear agreement on what you’ll receive (number of images, orientation mix, etc.)
Travel and Destination Assignments
For multi-day projects and destination coverage.
Shooting Day Rate: From $1,000 per day (3 to 4 dives).
Client covers:
- Travel (flights, accommodation, luggage, local transport)
- Diving costs (boats, gas, guides, permits)
- Any required location or drone permits
These projects are scoped individually so I can ensure the images I capture are a fit for your goals, marketing campaigns, editorial features, rebrands, or updated marketing assets.
2. Optional Media Add-Ons: 360 Video, Drone and POV
These can be added to any on-site package, subject to conditions and location:
- 360 video clips: immersive reef, wreck, or topside walkthroughs
- Drone footage: aerial views of coastline, boats, and property (where legal and safe)
- Action camera POV: dynamic, diver-eye footage for social and “day in the life” content
Pricing for these is quoted based on project scope, local rules, and how you plan to use the footage.
3. Image Rights and Licensing
Unless otherwise agreed, I retain the copyright to my images and videos. If you require an extended commercial license, I am more than happy to build that into your contract.
4. Booking and Payment
- Rates: All prices are in USD and are “from” rates; your final quote will depend on location, scope, and deliverables.
- Retainer: A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to secure dates for shoots.
- Balance: Due on delivery of proofs or as specified in your agreement.
- Rescheduling and Weather: Underwater work is weather and conditions-dependent. I’ll build a reasonable plan for contingencies into your contract.
5. Illustration and Dive Site Artwork
Alongside photography, I also create illustrated dive site artwork and watercolor pieces that bring a unique, creative life to your site or destination. If you’re interested in pairing your photo project with custom artwork or commissioning a specific piece for your shop or destination, mention it in your inquiry, and I can include options in your quote.
This custom artwork might include:
- Custom dive site or house reef illustrations
- Marine life or wildlife illustrations, paintings, or graphics
- Prints for guest rooms, retail spaces, or staff gifts
- Simple, characterful artwork for use on in-house materials or merch
- Sticker design
